Gov. John Hickenlooper recently decided to block the execution of convicted killer Nathan Dunlap for as long as he is governor. Dunlap is on death row for the murders of four people in an Aurora Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in 1993.
The reprieve essentially guarantees Dunlap, 38, will stay alive at least through Jan. 13, 2015, the last day of Hickenlooper's first term.
We asked visitors to 600kcol.com "What do you think of Gov. Hickenlooper's decision?"
|Response||Percent of Respondents Replied|
|I think it's fine. I don't agree with capital punishment.||0%|
|I think it's a political move on his part.||26%|
|I think the governor has taken a cowardly stance on the issue.||74%|
