RESULTS: Do You Support Amendment 66?

Coloradoans have a chance to vote for a school funding amendment this November 5, 2013. Amendment 66, which would increase taxes for public school funding.

At a taxpayer cost of just under $1 billion, Amendment 66 would trigger a revamp of school financing in Colorado. A typical household in the state would fork over $133 a year, proponents estimate.

Critics argue that increasing taxes while the state's economy wrestles with economic recovery is a bad idea, adding that most of the money won't trickle down to teachers and students, adding there are no guarantees of performance.

How would YOU vote?

We asked visitors at 600kcol.com, to select their vote choice on how they would vote for the measure if the election was held today. Over 92% said they would NOT support the school tax initiative, while only 8% said they would vote in favor of the tax.
